Synopsis

Oblivion gets our vote for the title of "most addictive arcade game for the BBC Micro". Life begins with deceptive ease, with aliens gently falling onto the screen to meet their demise in your laser fire. Things heat up quickly and you find yourself with a group of aliens relentlessly focusing on your location while one of their friends stands directly above you, intent on being a nuisance, and bombs are falling around you. As you begin to get used to surviving in these conditions, the rules begin to change slightly. The attackers' bombs start to move on serpentine paths, the annoying yellow devils that hung above your head start to hang a little to the side and cause even more trouble. And what are these things that have just joined the attack? And why does everything have to go faster and faster?
