Synopsis

Operation Overlord: The Invasion of Europe is a historical strategy game developed and published by Simulations Canada for the Commodore Amiga in 1987. The game is centered on the famous Allied invasion on D-Day during World War II, with the player as commander making strategic decisions to gain a foothold in "Fortress Europe." The game simulates the complex planning and operations necessary for the successful landing in Normandy. The player controls troop movements, organizes supply lines, and must respond to counter-offensives by the German Wehrmacht. This is not just about military skill, but also logistical and tactical planning to secure the bridge to Europe.
