Description

Othello (also known as Reversi) is an abstract combinatorial board game between two players.

It is played on a single-color board of 64 squares, 8 by 8, called an othellier. The players have 64 two-color pawns, black on one side and white on the other. At the start of the game, four pawns are already placed in the center of the board: two black, on e4 and d5, and two white, on d4 and e5. Each player, black and white, places a pawn of their color on the board one after the other according to precise rules. The game ends when both players can no longer place a pawn. We then count the number of pawns. The player with the greatest number of pawns of his color on the board wins.
