Synopsis

OutRun allows the player to cover varied terrain behind the wheel of a Ferrari, with a female passenger, on a series of short circuits.

The game is played just above and behind the car. The roads are full of sharp turns and hazards, contact with which can cause rollovers and waste the player's time. On each section of track, there is a junction which allows the player to choose the direction they wish to take. In total, the player must complete five circuit sections out of the fifteen in the game.
