Pacific Strike
Synopsis
It is a flight simulator that uses a slightly modified version of Strike Commander's RealSpace engine. You play as a World War II pilot and take part in various historical missions such as dogfights, bombings and missile attacks, most of which are based on real-life battles. American and Japanese aircraft from the era, along with their weapons, come to life.
What makes Pacific Strike unique is that instead of just chronicling historical battles, the player can influence the course of World War II. If we fail to destroy certain targets, they will remain a problem in future missions, and if we succeed very well, the allies will have a better chance of escaping. Thus, whatever the actual course of the war, events follow one another. This is why it is possible to end the war prematurely, before the bombing of Hiroshima, or to find ourselves in a situation where American forces surrender to the Japanese.
