Synopsis

Parallax plunges you into a dark future where a supercomputer, nicknamed “The Great One”, controls the world. Its code is impenetrable, unless you find scientists, drug them, and bring them to the machine. Each of them will unlock a letter of the code. But the quest is perilous: aliens patrol the base and can attack you in groups. Playable from a top-down view with full multi-directional scrolling, you can upgrade your weapons, recharge your shields, and even leave your ship to explore on foot. Money? A sedated scientist may be valuable. The parallax scrolling, which gives the game its name, and its epic 11-minute introduction set the tone.
