Synopsis

Parodius, or Parodius Da! is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up video game. This is a parody of Gradius and other shooter games.
The Great Octopus threatens the Earth. To help Parodius save the planet, the player and his friends must begin their search across the world to find the enemy and destroy them.
Parodius allows players to choose one character from four different ones. Additionally, it retains the selectable weapon system of "Gradius"; A "Power Meter" at the bottom of the screen allows players to purchase weapons and upgrades using capsules left behind by certain destroyed enemies.
