Synopsis

Play as a buccaneer during the Golden Age of Piracy in the Caribbean! This game lets you choose from 6 different “ages” (for example, “The Silver Empire” from 1560 to 1600, “The War for Profit” from 1640 to 1660, etc.), one of four nationalities (English, French, Dutch, Spanish), four difficulty levels, and one of five special abilities (fencing skill, navigation skill, etc.) Nine different types of ships are featured.

The goal of the game is to walk away with as much gold and land as possible, as many ranks and titles as possible (colonel, admiral, marquis, duke), and a wife. You achieve these goals by plundering cities, capturing and sinking enemy ships, currying favor with governors to receive titles, obtaining information from the “evil Spaniards” who are holding your loved ones captive, capturing evil pirates, etc.
