Synopsis

Plan 9 from Outer Space is a "point and click" adventure game released in 1992. It is not an adaptation of the film of the same name, but rather a reference to its filming and a tribute to its director Ed Wood: the objective of the game is in fact to find the six reels of Ed Wood's film Plan 9 from outer space, stolen by a double of the main actor, Bela Lugosi2. The studio producer then hires the hero for an investigation which will take him behind the scenes of filming.

The scenario develops a second-degree humorous spirit in homage to the universe of Ed Wood: one of the authors, the game developer Thomas Rolfs, even assumes gameplay “deliberately very close to the film: in bad taste, obsolete and very offbeat”.
