Synopsis

Pocket Monster on NES is a pirate platform game based on the Pokémon universe, unrelated to the Mega Drive or Super Nintendo versions. The player plays Pikachu, who can run, jump, attack with an electric shock eliminating all enemies on the screen, or even crush his opponents like in Super Mario Bros.. Pikachu can take three hits before losing a life, indicated by a Poké Ball counter. The game features four worlds (Velbt, Woods, Tableland, and Motte), each divided into three levels and a boss fight. The graphics are largely taken from Athena and Adventure Island II, while some enemies are taken from other games or inspired by Pokémon. The music seems original, although the sound engine and some effects come from Konami games. The adventure ends with Pikachu dancing with the word "End" on the screen.
