Synopsis

Pocket Zaurus: Ju Ouken no Nazo (possibly translated as "Pocket Zaurus: Mystery of the Ten Sword Kings", the Ten Kings are the ten judges of hell who examine the conduct of the recently deceased) is an action game developed by Bandai and released in February 1987. At the time of this game's release, Bandai produced a line of dinosaur pens, similar to a school theme provided under the Pocket label Zaurus. As such, the game itself has a slight educational aspect. The game is a side-scrolling action game. You control Hashimoto-Zaurus, named after Hashimoto, a Bandai employee who presumably invented the concept of Pocket Zaurus. Despite sharing the name with the product line, characters that resemble those used in the product are almost never seen, and the enemies are not related at all either. The idea for the game was submitted by a reader of the gaming magazine "Family computer Magazine", published by Tokuma Shoten.
