Synopsis

Although Pokémon Stadium 2 has a story, you can progress through the game by winning stadium cups and completing the Gym Leader Castle. Once all the cups are won and the Gym Leader Castle is completed, the player's rival will appear. Defeating the rival will unlock Round 2, in which the player will have to challenge the Stadium, Gym Leader Castle and the rival again to complete the game. But they have different Pokémon and the difficulty is much higher.

Stage: the player begins by choosing 6 different Pokémon. There are 250 different Pokémon to choose from, including some legendary Pokémon. Pokémon tournaments take place in the stadium. There are four Cups to participate in. Each Assault consists of eight battles, and each of the Cups, with the exception of the Small Cup and the First Cup, includes four rounds, called Poké Balls, which must be eliminated to win that Cup.
