Synopsis

Polaris is a single-player, single-screen shooter, with many similarities to Taito’s very famous shooter, “Space Invaders,” in which the player plays the commander of a Polaris-class nuclear submarine. War has been declared and the Polaris' mission is to defend the country from enemy attack. During the battle, players must defend themselves against successive waves of enemy aircraft (fighter jets and missile-launching biplanes) as well as enemy submarines and destroyers. Players should also be careful to avoid the many mines and underwater grenades that litter the ocean.
