Synopsis

Powerama is a vertical top-down shoot'em up where the screen constantly scrolls upwards. You pilot a spaceship whose mission is to save Earth from a powerful invasion force through different levels. You must fly at low altitude above various alien ships in order to pass under their force fields and destroy as many solar panels as possible. While flying, you will encounter many enemy ships that will try to stop you. If you hit one or get hit, you lose one in five lives. Flashing squares appear regularly; by hovering over them, you get a bonus in speed, lives or ammunition. At the end of each level, you will face a mothership that you will have to destroy to access the next ship.
