Synopsis

Clearly, the Prince of Persia was released on a hell of a lot of media! The PC Engine and its CD player are no exception. Two years after the original version on Apple II, Prince of Persia arrives - notably, there are still a good twenty ports of the original game - on PC Engine CD-Rom.
Like any game released on a large package of media, you shouldn't expect much from this Nec version in terms of innovations. Graphically, the game is much better than the Apple II version, as you can imagine. It is closer to the Mega CD version. Yet released two years later, the latter is a step below graphically. Likewise, as far as the music is concerned, they benefit from CD support, the main card that the PC Engine could play in 1991. Without being legendary, the compositions go well with the atmosphere of The Thousand and One Nights.
