Synopsis

Protium is a side-scrolling shoot'em up where the screen constantly scrolls from left to right as you pilot a spaceship, destroying and dodging aliens through different levels. Earth is threatened by hyperspace launched by the aliens, and since their base is very far away, an attack is impossible. The only solution is to activate the Galactic Shield, but this requires enormous quantities of Protium, not found on Earth. To obtain it, you must steal a ship loaded with Protium and bring it back to Earth in order to save the planet.
