Synopsis

Putty Squad is a 1994 video game developed by System 3 and published by Maximum Games and Ocean Software. The Amiga version of Putty Squad, although remaining unreleased until December 2013, was fully developed in 1994 to the point that demo versions were released to magazines for release on cover discs, and Amiga magazines also received complete review copies of Putty Squad, for which it received critical acclaim.

Putty Squad is a platform game in which the player controls an amorphous blue blob, tasked with rescuing trapped putties. The player's putty can stretch in different ways: sideways to cover the ground faster, flatten to absorb picked up items, stretch upward to climb, transform into a fist to attack, or inflate to float upward.

Putty can collect stars which increase his attack power: initially increasing the power of his punch, but later allowing him to blast darts, electrocute enemies, or throw bombs. This star power is reduced each time Putty is hit by an enemy.
