Synopsis

R-Type on Turbografx is a shoot'em up retracing the interstellar wars between Earthlings and the Bydo empire. You control a spaceship, the R-9, and start out armed with a simple cannon suitable for destroying the most fragile enemies. Later, you install different cannons on your ship, each recommended for a particular type of structure.
