Synopsis

In 2090, Earth is invaded by aliens. The Global Alliance of Nations has developed a supersonic strike fighter, the Raiden, to defend Earth. A pilot must take control of the experimental fighter to destroy alien warships that look like bizarre variations of typical military tanks and planes with gadgets attached.

Raiden is a vertical-scrolling aerial shooter, based on an arcade game of the same name. It offers two types of weapon upgrades and two types of missiles (normal or homing). You start the game with several bombs that you can use to destroy most of the enemies on screen and get yourself out of a bind. Each level ends with one or more big bosses.
