Synopsis
In the near future, Earth is under new attack from the Crimson forces, responsible for the previous Raiden Wars.
The final Earth prototype, the Fighting Thunder Mk-II, is deployed to stop the invasion before humanity is wiped out.
Raiden III is a vertical shoot'em up developed by MOSS / Taito, released in 2005 on the Taito Type X system.
The player pilots the Fighting Thunder Mk‑II to save Earth from an alien invasion in a modernized 3D version, but faithful to classic Raiden gameplay.
With its evolving weapons, giant bosses and cooperative mode, it marks the great return of the series on modern hardware.
