Synopsis
Rails West! is a simulation game about 19th century speculation in railway finance. It allows play from 1 to 8 players, with up to 4 under computer control. The long storyline begins in 1870 and ends after the 1900 round (31 rounds in total). The short scenario begins in 1890 and ends in 1895 (6 turns) or 1900 (11 turns). The goal is to accumulate cash, stocks and bonds and control viable transcontinental railroads through strategic decisions.
