Synopsis

In Red Baron, the player takes on the role of a World War I pilot and enters the cockpit of a triplane during an intense dogfight. The player must shoot down aerial targets, such as airships and biplanes, and ground targets, such as pillboxes and tanks.
However, constantly firing can cause the plane's guns to temporarily overheat, forcing the player to be more judicious with their shots. The player must also be careful not to crash into the side of the mountains they are flying over.
Shooting air and ground targets earns the player points. The points for destroying objects are always the same, except for biplanes. The further away they are when they are destroyed, the more points they earn. A bonus plane is earned at 2,000, 10,000 and 30,000 points. Players can also start the game with 2 to 5 planes.
