Synopsis
The Soviet Union, under great pressure after the destruction of one of its largest oil refineries, must secure a new source of oil, and to do so it must incapacitate the West, which means it must invade Europe and fight NATO. The only way for NATO to prevent this is to reinforce its forces with convoys from the United States and other countries.
You are in command of one of the American attack submarines. You must control the ocean against the Soviet Navy at all costs, otherwise the land battle will go badly.
