Synopsis

Inspired by Walt Disney's dark 1985 film Oz Returns, a non-musical sequel to The Wizard of Oz, this story combines elements of L. Frank Baum's novels Ozma of Oz and The Wonderful Land of Oz. Back in Kansas, no one believes Dorothy's story. Unable to sleep, she is interned by her aunt Em, who wants to subject her to terrible experiments in a psychiatric asylum. Dorothy escapes and finds herself in the Land of Oz, where she discovers that the Gnome King has taken power and destroyed the Emerald City and the Yellow Brick Road. His new companion is Billina, the talking hen in Oz. You'll also meet a scarecrow named Pumpkinhead Jack and a robot named Tik-Tok, among others. Dorothy must stop the Gnome King and the witch Mombi, who covets her head for her collection, and return her throne to Princess Ozma.
