Synopsis
Rise of the Robots es un juego de lucha en 2.5D. Jugamos al cyborg Eco35-2, mitad hombre, mitad robot, creado por la empresa Electrocorp, para contrarrestar el motín que se está gestando en su fábrica de Metropolis 4, tras la reprogramación de determinados robots inyectándoles el virus EGO, haciéndolos conscientes de su situación y, por tanto, agresivos. Por lo tanto, será necesario enfrentarlos uno por uno en duelos para detener esta rebelión.
El título pretendía ser gráficamente revolucionario. Pero aunque los robots de combate son bastante bonitos (con sprites 3D transcritos en un universo 2D), los escenarios son sólo en 2D estático bastante aburrido. Además, la animación del juego es lenta, incluso bastante "pesada", lo que afecta directamente al manejo.
La lentitud de tu robot y el poder de los enemigos que varía (hasta el punto de que algunos robots son ultrapoderosos y te atomizan en dos golpes) desequilibran rápidamente los combates.
