Synopsis

Street Gangs is the European version of River City Ransom in the USA and Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari in Japan.
This is the first episode where Kunio allies himself with his rival from previous episodes: Riki. They will fight high school students from other high schools. Many characters will return in subsequent episodes of the series.
In the American and European versions, Kunio is called Alex and Riki is renamed Ryan, they cross River City to save Cindy, Ryan's girlfriend who has been kidnapped by a gang of thugs led by someone named "Slick". The high school costumes are replaced by more western jeans and t-shirts and the enemies are gangs with the names "Generic Dudes", "Frat Guys", "Jocks" or "Squids".
