Synopsis

In Road to Moscow, you take command of the German army on the Eastern Front during World War II, with the goal of repelling Soviet forces. The battlefield stretches from Finland to Crimea, with the east represented at the top of the map – your troops advance upwards. You can play a full campaign starting in 1941 or focus on specific annual operations: the landings of 1941, the second offensive of 1942, the Russian counter-offensive of 1943 or the Battle of Poland of 1944. Each campaign lasts one year, with two moves per month. The goal is to force the Soviets to abandon Moscow, Stalingrad, Leningrad, and everything west of those cities. The game is played in aerial view over a small portion of the map, the units being represented by icons.
