Synopsis

Roland Ahoy! allows the player to sail a pirate ship on an ocean map in order to reach the Golden Harbor and the Treasure Cave, while avoiding the sea monster and other numerous deadly obstacles, such as mines, spiders or fireballs. Before reaching Golden Harbor, it is necessary to sail to Powder Quay and collect cannonballs in order to destroy the harbor entrance protecting the spire. All land missions are played on a 2D platform board, where Roland must avoid various traps to collect the items (treasure, ammo) and return safely to the ship. Roland has 4 lives. After losing a life, the spire is rebuilt, but the munitions and treasures stored on the ship remain intact.
