Description

A mouse-based ship command simulation, with a user interface known as LYCAR, and similar to the LCARS system from the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation.

First, you must create yourself as a fleet commander and assign a mission, with a pre-adjusted star system, ships, captains and aliens, as well as objectives you must achieve to complete it. So the gist of the game is about completing missions by controlling your ship using tactical, communication, and simulation skills. If you succeed, your commander will receive promotions and honors.

Breach 2 owners can use the Interlocking Game System to play the game's battles. A mission editor is also present, where you can create a mission by choosing the star system, ships and aliens involved.
