Synopsis

Sabotage is a top-down, vertical-scrolling shoot'em up. You play as a mercenary hired by your planet to fend off waves of alien enemies across different levels. In each level, you must move around avoiding and eliminating waves of aliens in order to reach the guardian at the end of the level before landing on a track. Once on the ground, you must explore a maze in search of a rebel, member of the Fifth Column, who has part of the blueprint for a code to lock your main weapon on the elusive mothership. There are two power-ups you can collect: one grants you temporary immunity, while the other propels you a short distance at high speed. Each hit received from an alien causes you to lose a life (four on Amstrad) and forces you to start the level from the beginning (resuming where you died on Amstrad). Two players can take turns playing.
