Synopsis

Set during Japan's tumultuous Sengoku period, legendary warriors clash in a battle for the nation's fate. Haohmaru, the wandering swordsman, and Nakoruru, the nature priestess, must confront a shadowy conspiracy threatening to rewrite history.
Samurai Spirits Sen breaks from tradition with a full 3D combat system, introducing sidestepping, air combos, and horizontal/vertical slashing mechanics. While criticized for straying from the series' 2D roots, the game stands out for its high-definition visuals, a roster of 24 fighters (11 newcomers), and the return of iconic artist Senri Kita. The "Guard-Shatter Move" adds a tactical layer, allowing players to break through an opponent's defense. Despite mixed reception, it remains a bold experiment in the Samurai Shodown legacy
