Synopsis
Save Mary! is an original and unpublished game developed for the Atari 2600, the release of which was canceled in 1990 when Atari ceased activities on this console. Designed by Tod Frye (Pac-Man), its development was long and chaotic, notably because of frequent changes imposed by management.
The goal of the game is simple: save Mary, a young girl stuck in a canyon that is filling with water. Using a crane and blocks of various shapes, the player must build a platform to hoist it out of danger. The difficulty comes from the irregular shapes of the blocks, Mary's unpredictable behavior, and obstacles like a plane that can disrupt the crane.
