Synopsis

Located inside a debris field several thousand kilometers wide is the small asteroid called Scrapland. Centuries of destructive exploitation by a long-extinct race have reduced what was once a paradise to a world inhabited only by machines. These machines, robots of all shapes and sizes, have rebuilt Scrapland into an awe-inspiring metropolis of gleaming grandeur.

In rebuilding the world, robots have also created a new class of citizens: police officers, bankers, priests and civil servants. This nascent society was radically transformed by the discovery of a device nicknamed “the big database.” Thanks to it, robots could easily revive any outdated or non-functional automaton. Death has become a thing of the past.

Against this backdrop, you join the story of an outsider named D-Tritus who arrives in Scrapland amid a series of bizarre murders. D-Tritus lands a job investigating the murders and eventually finds himself entangled in a web of conspiracy from which only his quick wit and a little help from his friends will save him.
