Synopsis

Screwball has 60 seconds to change the color of all squares on the screen by jumping between them. The player is threatened by Black Bugs, which chase them through the maze and cost them a life if they catch them. Screwball can dig holes in the maze to make insects fall into them, and if he is surrounded he can move in hyperspace to the top of the screen, but this can cost him a life. When all squares change color, the player moves to the next level.
