Synopsis

As an anthropologist visiting Easter Island, you learn of a legendary idol said to stop a volcano whose eruption threatens to destroy the island. Hoping to save the natives and earn the promised reward of immense riches, you set out to find the idol despite arriving with only a gold ring and three dollars after losing your supplies in a storm.

Secret of Easter Island is a graphical adventure game that uses VERB NOUN text commands. Players explore beaches, villages, deserts, jungles, castles, and volcanic caverns while solving inventory-based puzzles under a turn limit before the volcano erupts. Along the way, they battle creatures such as a salamander, poisonous spider, and scorpion, eventually transforming a witch doctor into the sacred idol. The final challenge is carrying the idol deep into the volcano and placing it on a pedestal to halt the eruption. Success saves the island and rewards the player with a fortune in diamonds.
