Description
The Sega CD (named Mega-CD outside the United States) is an additional device released in 1992 that grafts a CD-ROM drive to the Mega Drive/Genesis, providing much more storage space than cartridges as well as an additional graphics chip and processor for scaling and rotating sprites. This BIOS (US version) initializes the CD player, displays the characteristic introductory animation and manages the loading of games in CD format. It is essential to emulate the North American Sega CD game library.
