Synopsis

Do you think Sonic is already very fast? Just wait until you play tennis against him! The most famous SEGA characters await you on the many courts of SEGA Superstars Tennis, a super fun tennis game packed with matches and mini-games. Grab the Wii Remote and prepare to perform forehands, backhands, lobs and serves, as if you were there, in this totally immersive tennis game. You'll play as one of 16 of your favorite SEGA characters on 10 unique terrains inspired by great SEGA classics, from the lush Green Hill of Sonic to the checkerboard of Super Monkey Ball to the galactic world of Space Channel 5. There are a total of three control methods. In addition to the Wii Sports-style gameplay (where you just go through the motions without moving the character), you can plug in the Nunchuk and use the directional stick to move your character around the field. With this control method, you keep making movements with the Wii Remote to hit the ball. For both control methods, you will hold down the A or B button during your movements to perform lobs or drop shots. The third control method eliminates any physical activity. You hold the Wii Remote horizontally, in the NES position, and use the + controller to move and the 1 and 2 buttons to hit the ball. To perform special strikes, you will have to use combinations of buttons 1 and 2. Not only are characters from the Sonic universe in the game, but you will also have the pleasure of meeting other iconic characters, such as NiGHTS, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball, Ulala from Space Channel 5, Amigo from Samba De Amigo and Beat from Jet Grind Radio. In addition to tournaments and exhibition matches, SEGA Superstars Tennis is full of mini-games crazy and equally crazy special unlockable competitions that can accommodate up to four players simultaneously. You'll even notice illustrious extras among the referees, as well as brief appearances from some of the luminaries of the SEGA universe.* Each of the 16 characters has a special Superstar alter ego. Their super abilities give them an edge that will make all the difference on the field.* As you advance through four action-packed tournaments, you'll unlock a swarm of bonus content.* Faithfully recreated in Dolby Digital 5.1, the classic tunes of SEGA games will delight all fans, young and old.
