Synopsis

Before 2060 AD, humanity had slowly begun to discover artifacts and ruins left in ancient times by the Sirians, the famous race thought to be long extinct on Sirius. Unfortunately, Mental chose to turn his attention to Earth this time. He sends his space fleet carrying his endless hordes to attack Earth, leading a three-year conquest that has pushed humanity almost to the point of extinction. In a last-ditch effort, the survivors turn to the Time-Lock, a recently discovered device believed to give a single person the ability to travel through time via an inter-dimensional portal. Through it, this person could reach a pivotal moment in time and change the events of the past. But since the device is asleep, they must first figure out a way to turn it on.

Sam "Serious" Stone, a member of the Earth Defense Force, is sent with a detachment of Alpha Team soldiers to modern-day Egypt, occupied by Mental's alien army. Their initial mission is to reconnoiter, encounter, and extract Bravo Team who are protecting Dr. Stein, a scientist bearing hieroglyphics believed to contain instructions for powering the Time-Lock. Sam's insertion goes haywire when his helicopter is shot down and both teams are quickly wiped out. However, he manages to retrieve the hieroglyphs from Stein's phone at the museum and transmit them to headquarters. The decipherment indicates that there is a Sirian chamber hidden beneath the Great Pyramid. Sam makes his way through a tunnel under the Sphinx and down into the Pyramid. Not only does he discover the hidden chamber, but he recovers crucial information and a bracelet from the remains of what could have been Earth's last Sirian.

In order to power the Time-Lock, two dormant but incredibly powerful plasma energy generators must be activated. Team Charlie's Hellfire inserts Sam to put the two in a line. This is slowly being accomplished and Team Charlie is ready to enter Time-Lock. Sam is relieved of duty and in the process of being taken out of Cairo, but is shot down again and forced to flee to the lost ruins of Nubia. While passing through more tombs, Sam reconnects with Hellfire and learns that Mental's forces invaded the human army and killed them all shortly before dying herself. Now determined to finish what the Sirians started, Sam vows to use the Time-Lock himself and kill Mental in the past before he can destroy humanity in the present. Sam then makes one final trip to Hatshepsut's temple, where the Time-Lock is located. The struggle to reach this destination ends when Sam kills Ugh-Zan IV. With Ugh-Zan IV dead, the Time-Lock then activates, displaying an inter-dimensional portal to 3000 BC, the timeline where the Sirians disappeared. Sam calls Mental on Stein's phone and Mental's daughter Judy answers. She tells him that Mental plans to “moon” him. Sam notices that the Moon is rapidly falling into Earth's atmosphere and escapes via Time-Lock to 3000 BC. as the Moon impacts Earth, destroying the planet.
