Synopsis

The great detective Sherlock Holmes has a new case to solve.
This time, the case involves the mysterious kidnapping of the Countess. Holmes then races across England in search of clues that could help him solve the case.
The game, released in 1986, puts him in the shoes of Sherlock Holmes, and in this interpretation, his only way to interrogate someone for information is to attack them until they run out of resistance and reveal the clues. The game alternates between an enlarged view of the streets of England and an enlarged side-scrolling view of buildings, sewers or parks. In addition to interviewing people for information, Holmes should look for random holes or trees that might contain important clues or inventory items.
