Synopsis

The principle of this game is simple: you travel across a map through various dungeons or forests, and enemies attack you at random, bringing up the combat screen. Like Zelda 2, battles take place from left to right or right to left, with the option of fleeing at any time by moving to the far end of the screen.
In principle, then, the famicom's second Zelda and the game on Nec's console are very similar. The differences lie mainly in the choice of weapons: in Shiryô Sensen, you'll be able to use pistols or other rifles, whereas Nintendo's game is limited to a sword (and hardly a magic one at that!). As the Pc Engine is far more powerful than the Famicom, the graphics and fluidity of the two games are quite different, and much more enjoyable on Nec's console.
