Synopsis

Shōgi Database is an adaptation of the Japanese board game shōgi, which is related to Western chess and in particular Chinese xiangqi. The main mode of the game offers competition between human players or three levels of artificial intelligence. Additional modes include analyzing and replaying situations from existing shōgi matches, and problem solving and studying (three difficulty levels with over forty examples each). The game also includes a database of famous shōgi players, with biographical data, records, etc.
