Synopsis

Shoukoushi Cedie is the Japanese title of the novel Little Lord Fauntleroy by Frances Hodgson Burnett (1886). The story follows a kid from New York discovering he is the heir to an earldom in England, moving to his estate, and learning to become a nobleman. In 1988, Fuji Television created a 43-episode anime series based on this novel, and this video game is an adaptation of this series.

Developed for the Famicom, the game works like a classic adventure game: the player moves around, talks to characters and finds objects to solve puzzles. Instead of selecting destinations via a menu, the player moves manually with a top-down view. The game also includes sequences where the player must avoid pedestrians when leaving the area. In the event of a collision or error, he is reprimanded by his guardian and must answer general knowledge questions.
