Synopsis

Show do Milhão is based on a Brazilian television show of the same name, hosted by Silvio Santos, a famous Brazilian television presenter, owner of SBT, one of the biggest television channels in Brazil.

Show do Milhão (Who wants to be a millionaire, in French) is essentially a quiz, with 16 questions divided into three tiers of five questions each, plus the million-dollar question. Each question has 4 alternative answers, only one of which is correct. The player wins a sum of money for each correct answer. If he decides to stop at a certain question, he earns half the price of the questions. If he guesses wrong, he wins a quarter of the prize. But the rules are different for the last question: if he guesses wrong, he loses all the money he won during the match. If he stops, he takes half the amount as usual.

The player can also skip questions up to three times. If he gives up a question, another of the same amount is proposed. He can also ask for help, which comes in three different forms: cards, players and guests.

If the player chooses the help cards, they must choose one of three shuffled cards (K, A, 2, and 3), each corresponding to the amount of bad choices that will be removed from the screen (the K means no removal at all).

If the player chooses the other (in this case, simulated) players help, a screen showing the percentage of players choosing each answer will appear (in the real game, many players participated each night, taking the center spot in turn).

If the player chooses help from the guests, three guests give their opinion on the answer, which you can follow or not (in the real game, these guests were students).

The game features the digitized voice of Silvio Santos, as well as the show's main theme. All text is in Portuguese.
