Synopsis

Sieg in Afrika is a tactical World War II wargame covering the North African campaign between the Axis and Allied forces. Beginning in June 1940, players command the major ground formations fighting across Libya and Egypt.

Designed for one or two players, the game can be played against another person or a computer opponent. Acting as a corps-level commander, players issue orders, manage supplies, and respond to battlefield developments.

The game is entirely text-based and originally included a board and counters to track unit locations. Campaigns advance in monthly turns, each featuring intelligence and command phases. Players gather information on enemy activity before ordering forces to attack, hold, move, rush, search and sweep, or disengage. Limited fuel, food, and ammunition make logistics and reinforcement decisions critical. After each turn, radio reports summarize combat results and enemy movements.
