Synopsis

Simon, a young teenager, decides to abandon his tedious homework to torture his dog (a much more entertaining activity). He finds the canine in question in the attic, barking at a dusty old book: “the book of spells”. Against all expectations, a ray of light springs from this book and opens a dimensional door. The dog happily walks through the door in canine unconsciousness and Simon hastens to follow him, thereby proving that he is hardly smarter than his dog. Paf! Dressed in a threadbare wizard's robe, Simon finds himself in a world of heroic fantasy. His mission: to deliver Calypso, the grand master sorcerer of the village of Fleur Deli, from the hands of the very formidable and unsympathetic Sordide, the evil sorcerer...
