Synopsis

Sinistron (Violent Soldier) is an R-Type game with horizontal scrolling. The game is therefore based on millimetric passages and other parts of levels that you'll have to learn by heart if you want to get through them without a hitch.
The weapons, however, are different from those found in Irem's series. Modules are glued to your ship so that they don't move. Charging your shot triggers a protective field, which also allows you to hit enemies, but it doesn't spread very far, so you don't use it very often.
The main originality comes from the front of your ship. A sort of steel beak, you can open it by pressing the secondary button, and use it as a weapon when grazing enemies. To open it wide, you'll need to collect several options. As a result, the game regularly requires you to graze opponents in order to use your modules or beak to shoot them, as your shot is often a little light in terms of power.
