Synopsis

Sirius is a horizontal space shooter that will feel right at home for those familiar with games such as Gradius or R-Type. The game consists of four different levels, each with its own theme and boss. Sirius ably demonstrates what the 7800 hardware was capable of and compares honorably to NES and Sega Master System games of the era. Sirius is very difficult, so if you like a challenge, you will love this game. Sirius is a single-player game only. The difficulty level (easy or hard) can be selected via the left difficulty switch. Sirius has several types of power-ups. The first is a "ghost ship" that follows you and fires at the same time as you. Other power-ups include faster guns or spread shots. You can stockpile each type of bonus so that you are no longer as vulnerable when you are killed. There are also diamonds you can pick up but they don't seem to do much other than reward you with 300 points.
