The Casio SK-10 was a compact consumer sampling keyboard developed by Casio as part of the SK series that popularized low-cost digital sampling. It allowed users to record short audio samples via built-in microphone or line input and play them back chromatically across the keyboard. Compared to the earlier SK-1, the SK-10 introduced a slightly updated interface and sound set while retaining the same lo-fi 8-bit sampling engine and extremely limited memory, making it a simple but iconic entry-level sampler for home musicians and experimental users.

Not really a major upgrade over the SK-1
The SK-10 is mostly a design and packaging variation, not a big technical improvement. It uses the same basic 8-bit sampling concept with extremely limited memory.

Built-in microphone became a signature feature
Users often recorded voices, TV sounds, and environmental noise directly into the SK-10, which contributed to its unique lo-fi character.

A favorite for circuit bending enthusiasts
