Synopsis

In SkyDrift, players pilot one of several planes in a fictional racing competition. The gameplay is similar to other plane racing games such as Plane Crazy and Diddy Kong Racing's flight mode. The game features 33 single-player challenge stages as well as online multiplayer. Although the main focus is racing, dogfights play an important role in some of SkyDrift's game modes. Players are rewarded with a boost, which provides a temporary boost in speed, when flying acrobatically, low to the ground, or eliminating opponents. Aircraft and their distinct liveries are unlocked as players progress and complete specified challenges. As players progress through a given course, they sometimes encounter progressive environmental hazards such as falling rocks or an avalanche.
