Synopsis

Sorcerian is the fifth game in the Dragon Slayer series. It takes place in a fantastic country called Pentawa, whose inhabitants constantly need to be protected from the ferocious creatures lurking in nature. The king of Pentawa hires a group of adventurers and their first mission is to retrieve a valuable sceptre from a dungeon, where it is guarded by the evil demon lord Ouks. The game is an RPG with an unusual side-scrolling perspective and action-based combat, much like a cross between Wizardry and platforming games. Although it is a Japanese game, Sorcerian resembles the Western RPGs of his time, focusing more on character development than story.
